We’ve talked a lot about what a DD/lg relationship is, the care giving and power exchange dynamics of it, and different types of role play that might take place. But what does the relationship look like in terms of dad-to-day interactions? What sort of activities are Daddy and babygirl doing together specifically that are rooted in DD/lg and that you may not see in most other relationships?    

The interaction between a Daddy and his babygirl is very sweet and loving. It closely resembles the type of sweet interaction you’d expect to see between a loving father and his daughter. Although the following is written in a way that frames these interactions as absolutes, this is just based my own experience as a Daddy Dom. Not all these things are necessarily going to be present in every DD/lg relationship. Every relationship is unique, and it’s up to each couple to decide how they will interact with each other.

They Speak so Sweetly to Each Other

Daddy and babygirl always tell each other “good morning” and “I love you” when they wake up, and before bed they always say “I love you”, “goodnight”, and “sweet dreams”. Daddy asks babygirl to do things in a sweet way rather than ordering her to do things. These are still essentially commands, but they are worded in a much sweeter way. When Daddy asks babygirl to do something, she will do so and will respectfully say “yes, Daddy”. They always say “I love you” and share a hug and kiss before either of them leaves the house, and when one of them arrives back home. Daddy praises his babygirl when she does good by telling her she is a good girl and that he is proud of her. They speak and listen respectfully. When one of them is talking the other truly listens and they do not talk over each other. Their every interaction is just exceptionally sweet and respectful.

Daddy Helps babygirl Get Ready

Daddy picks out babygirl’s clothes for her to wear and might also help dress her. Daddy likes brushing babygirl’s hair out for her and helping her put it in ponytail or pigtails. He also likes playing with her hair, running his fingers through it, and twirling it around his fingers. Daddy will sometimes run babygirl a bubble bath and might also wash her in the bath or when they shower together. Daddy reminds her to do things like brushing her teeth or that it’s time to get ready for bed.

Daddy Pays a Lot of Attention to babygirl

Babygirl is needy and requires a lot of attention from her Daddy. This is never a burden or an inconvenience for Daddy, he is very attentive and needs to be needed. Daddy pays a lot of attention to his babygirl and dotes on her all the time. He treats her like the most precious thing in the world, and it’s quite obvious that he absolutely adores her.

They Do All Her Favorite Little Things Together

Daddy knows all babygirl’s favorite things and makes time to do them with her. They like to cuddle up together and watch cartoons or Disney princess movies. Babygirl likes to help daddy cook, especially if he’s baking cookies or cupcakes. Daddy likes both cooking for her and cooking with her. Daddy likes to take her out on special little dates like to the park or the zoo. Daddy will sit with her while she colors and tell her what a good job she’s doing. He is proud of even her smallest accomplishments and will do things like hang her drawings on the refrigerator to show he’s proud of her work.

They are Playful Together

Daddy and babygirl are playful together. Daddy tells her goofy jokes and she thinks Daddy is so silly. Sometimes Daddy likes to tickle her. Babygirl has the cutest giggles and its one of Daddy’s favorite sounds. They make blanket forts together and sometimes they jump on the bed or get into a pillow fight. Daddy like taking babygirl to the park and swinging on the swings with her. Unless people are around and its socially unacceptable, he will even push her on the swing.

Daddy Makes babygirl Feel Little and Safe

Babygirl always feels safe around Daddy and seeks his love and protection. Daddy is very patient with his babygirl and is never harsh with her. He loves her and accepts her exactly the way she is, and as a result she feels safe to be herself and to explore her little side more. Daddy always kisses babygirl on the forehead to convey how special she is to him, and that she is safe with him. If she gets an owie, Daddy kisses it all better. When he cuddles her, he will often nuzzle her, rock her, or rub or pat her on the back. When they sit together, she will usually be on daddy’s lap. They always hold hands when they are walking together, in the car, or even just when they are laying around. She is always connected to her protector.

Daddy Always Provides for Her

Whenever they go out to eat, Daddy insists on being the one who pays for everything. Daddy buys her all of her favorite little things like stuffies, blankets, fuzzy pajamas and socks, coloring supplies, stickers, toys, costume jewelry, lollipops, and fruit snacks. Daddy works hard to make sure babygirl is taken care of to the best of his ability, and that he can spoil her.
